In response to the need for professional real estate management services at the highest standards of excellence, Boyd Management, Inc. (BMI) was formed in 1985. At inception, BMI managed less than twenty properties and grew to be the largest privately held property management firm of USDA, Rural Development 515 properties in the country managing more than 330 properties. This growth is a result of outside owners and agencies acknowledging our abilities and desire to expand our organization.
BMI was acquired by CAHEC on October 1, 2020 and is now CAHEC Management, Inc. (CMI). Our current portfolio primarily consists of affordable multi-family housing in rural areas in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. However, we also developed and managed conventional apartment communities, warehouses, business centers, single family subdivisions, shopping centers and a private resort development in the mountains of North Carolina in prior years.
